Description of The North Face Primero 65 Backpack - Women's - 3650-3950cu in:
|
The North Face Women's Primero Backpack relies on the trail-proven X-Radial suspension system, with crossed 7075 aluminum stays that pivot as you twist or bend. As a result, you spend less energy compensating for pack shift and have more juice to reach the summit. The EVA foam back panel cushions, breathes deeply, and resists odor. It wipes clean easily and retains its shape and consistency even after heavy abuse. The North Face designed this multi-day pack with a durable, water-resistant body, a waterproof bottom, and a waterproof hood to protect your gear from wet surfaces and rainy weather.

|
Bottom Line: The X-Radial-equipped Women's Primero Backpack coordinates with your every move.

| Im a 5'2" female with a small build.
This pack has now been with me for about two years and has travelled the country. I have lived out of it for over four months backpacking and working as well as taken it into the backcountry on extended trips.
Pros
I really like the roatating hip belt, how easy the straps are to adjust even on the move and the water proofing. Nothing I have ever carried in this pack has ever gotten wet despite suffering through several extreme storms. Also it was partially run over by a truck and there wasnt a scratch on it. The truck exploded my sunscreen which was in the top compartment but because of the waterproofed material even on the iside, it jsut wiped clean and none of my gear was damaged. I also like the expandible easy to use front pocket. This was super convienant but still keeps the bag streamlined so it does not catch on anything. Access is also excellent on this bag.
Cons
It tapers near the base, around the bottom zipper wich has caused numerous prblems for me in the past in achieving a balanced pack. The light coloured material goes see through when stretched, which though it has yet to happen always makes me very worried that the bag will tear easily. though the back supprt system is good, it still does not get small enough to fit me perfectly, though I have since adapted to this condition. The waiste belt pocket is only an annoying fraction too small to fit a standard sized wallet when travelling in cities. The top compartment does not detach to become a fanny or day pack wich would be very convieniant. The front pocket fabric is light in colour and does not clean easily. As a result I have an annoying bird poop stain that I cannot get out. On several occasions I have needed to attach something to the bottom of the pack. I would like to see it so the straps offer slightly more fexibilty for postition of such items |
