Description of Black Diamond Spire Trekking Poles - 1 Pair:
|
Oval-shaped Elliptic shafts give the Black Diamond Spire Trekking Poles increased stability and durability to take on all the abuses dished out by long days on the trail. Black Diamond gave the Spire Trekking Poles anatomically correct, dual-density handles to make your hike as comfortable as possible. A combination of FlickLock and Binary locking mechanisms make length adjustment quick, easy, and solid to keep you going mile after mile.
 |
|
Bottom Line: Hike with more stability when you hit the trails with the Black Diamond Spire Trekking Poles.

| Spire vs. Super Makalu 04-10-07 |
D'Artagnan (3): |
| I have used trekking poles for the past few years and until recently had been a devotee of the LEKI Super Makalu's. When I recently went to my local outfitters and found the new Black Diamond Spire, I knew I had to have a pair. The locking mechanisms and the elliptical design were what really caught my eye. They, in my opinion, are far superior to anything else on the market. The extended handle is also a major plus. I am glad I went with the new Spire and would encourage you to do the same. You won't be disappointed. |

| As a novice hiker, I felt somewhat dorky using trekking poles at first, but the difference is like night and day. With these, I was able to hike for hours, and felt absolutely no fatigue aches in my knees nor back whatsoever.
I was completely happy with my choice of Spires. Absolutely no slippage with the elliptical design and locking mechanism; the wrist straps were very comfortable; and the angle of the handles allow them to swing out naturally, further cutting down on fatigue.

| These trekking poles from Black Diamond are excellent: easy-to-use, stable, nice looking and with a much better construction than the competitor's one like Leki and Komperdell! |
